Get Creative and Win Prizes this Summer with Lord Toadbury
We would like to introduce you to a new resident of Thornbury – Lord Toadbury. For many years he has lived in a remote castle in the middle of a Loch in Scotland. Now that he is gaining in years, he wishes to join his family in Thornbury and find smaller premises.
He is an eccentric toad with a love of fishing and fine food. He has a wide taste in music and very much enjoys carnivals and outdoor concerts – another reason for moving to the area.
He has viewed Thornbury Castle but it is a little large and he doesn’t think he will be able to afford the upkeep. Likewise he has viewed Berkeley Castle but it is too far from the centre of the town, and again, would involve massive upkeep bills.
As a young resident in Thornbury, we hope you will be able to help his Lordship by completing the various activities. They are for children between the ages of 6-12. You don’t have to complete all of them – just pick and choose between the options.
Completed work can be handed in at local shops specified in the activity. It is really important to include your name, age and contact details. Work will be displayed in St Mary Centre and prizes will be awarded at the start of the new school term in September.
