New CHSW Shop Opens Tuesday 16/07/19 in St Mary Centre

We are delighted to announce that the incredible  charity, Children’s Hospice South West, will be opening their new shop at 4 Horseshoe Lane on Tuesday the 16th July at 10:30am

The charity, which has been registered since 1991 has been dedicated to making the most of short and precious lives, providing the best possible hospice care for life-limited children and their families for over 25 years.

There are three hospices in the South West: Little Bridge House in Barnstaple (opened 1995), Charlton Farm in Bristol (opened 2007) and Little Harbour in St Austell (opened 2011)

The shop will be a great place to find good quality, pre-loved items, from clothes, accessories and homeware to collectables, books and media.

Whether you shop in the store, give your time to volunteer or donate pre-loved items to them – you’ll be helping to make a difference to local families whose children are not expected to reach adulthood.

The shop will be taking donations of ladies’ clothing, shoes, jewellery & accessories, children’s clothing, toys, games & books, men’s clothing, homeware and bric-a-brac.

Area Manager Madeleine Jeanrenaud said “We are delighted to have a shop in the town, which has always been so supportive of the work we do and we welcome everyone to come and join us for the opening. CHSW’s local hospice, Charlton Farm, is just 17 miles away, providing support to local families facing the unimaginable.”

CHSW is the only children’s hospice in the South West. It costs around £10million to run the 3 hospice sites each year and the charity relies almost entirely on voluntary contributions
