Woolbury – For Sale!!

A group of Thornbury ladies, known as Knit and Knatter, were inspired two years ago by the display of ‘Briswool’ to have go at knitting the buildings of the High Street.  Knitting on from last year, further buildings have buildings have been ‘developed’. From Friday 13^th April until Monday 30^th April, ‘Woolbury’ will be on display in the 7 St Mary Street, which is opposite to Ronnies Restaurant in the St Mary Centre.

The display is to help promote Thornbury Arts Festival which starts on Friday 20^th April, www.thornburyartsfestival.com.     Many more buildings in the High Street have been knitted, over 40 buildings in total, so there is more to see.    See if you can spot some familiar buildings!

Following the display, the individual buildings will be available for sale to raise money that will be divided equally between the local charities, Armstrong Hall Fund and Brain Tumour Support.   If you are interested in buying a building or buildings, then please contact  eryl.daniels@gmail.com or 01454 419688.

There is a reserve price on each building but it is hoped that people will be generous to reflect the time and craftsmanship which has gone into each building.   Offers to be submitted by Sunday 13^th May.   A unique opportunity to acquire the building that you live or work in!
