Christmas at The St Mary Centre
The Countdown to Christmas has now begun, and the festive lights are now on. In addition to a great local shopping experience, we also have some community-based events for all of the family to enjoy this December…
Sunday 11th December – Nativity Service – 10:30am
Thornbury Baptist Church will be holding their annual Nativity Service in the Centre. There will be a traditional nativity play complete with real donkeys. Visitors will be encouraged to participate and dress accordingly (optional)! There may also be an opportunity for children to experience a donkey ride on the morning.
Saturday 17th December – Christmas Music & Song – 10:00am to 12:00 noon
Shoppers will be able to enjoy festive music provided by pupils from Crossway School, followed by the Recorder Group, then a performance by the Community Choir. There will also be a chance join in with song, accompanied by the Town Band. A charity collection in aid of the local food bank will also take place if visitors wish to make a donation.
Thursday 22nd December – Christmas Farmers Market -9:00am to 1:30pm
This will be last market of 2022, and a chance to top up with some extra treats for the Christmas break. As well as a great range of stalls, festive music will be provided by Thornbury Town Band between 11:00am and 12:30pm.
